This yama represents the duel of Ushiwakamaru (Yoshitsune Minamoto : 1159-1189) and Benkei (? -1189) on Gojyo-oohashi (one of the bridge for Kamo River in Kyoto).
The dolls of this yama were made 16th century. They are extremely advanced products.
This is one of the oldest yama.
